Caravan Park & Camping Facilities
** changes made on site to reduce risk or changes beyond our control **
At Street Head Caravan Park we have pitches for privately owned static caravans, seasonal and touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents and everything in between.
We endeavour to ensure all areas of our park are clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard.
Our on-site facilities include:
You will find all the usual facilities, including electric showers in heated cubicles, hand basins with hot and cold running water and liquid soap dispensers, hand dryers, an electric point for a hairdryer or straighteners etc. in the ladies, and a shaving point in the gents.
Note: the electric socket in the ladies and the showers are operated with 20p coins, change is available at reception.
Our indoor washing up room has 2 large sinks, washing up liquid is provided so you don’t need to remember it. Recycling bins are located in this area.
Should you need to do any washing during your stay, a large capacity washing machine and dryer are available for your use as well as an iron and ironing board. Here you will find tourist information leaflets as well as a freezer, small library, jigsaws, games and more to use during your stay.
Large commercial bins can be found in both the touring field and near the toilet and shower block, please only put bagged general waste and dog waste in these bins.
Recycling bins for glass, plastic, tins and a box for paper and cardboard are in the washing up room. Bought some new equipment for your caravan or tent and can’t take the obsolete cardboard boxes home? Well you don’t need to, we will recycle these too, please flatten and slide behind the recycling bins.
We have disposal points for both grey and chemical waste close to the toilet and shower block. Please only use this area for disposal of liquids.
All pitches in the main touring field and five pitches in the camping field are available with electric hook up (10 amp).
Arrival is after 1pm.
Departure is before 12 noon.
At quiet times we are able to relax these times, please ask at reception if an earlier arrival or late departure is required.
We welcome pets to our site and have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful species over the years, please do not be offended if we remember your dog’s name and not yours. While most pets visiting are dogs, we ask that all are under control and where possible taken off site for toileting and cleaned up after immediately (extra bags are available at reception if you run out). We ask that dogs be on a lead at all times while on site. Please take care when walking in the local area, especially when passing through fields with farm animals.
For many this is all part of the camping experience and we wholeheartedly agree. Heat from firepits, BBQ’s and hot pans can burn and kill off the grass. Please help us to keep the pitches looking nice for all of our guests by using the flags and blocks provided underneath your appliance or pans.
We try to run a happy campsite where everyone can enjoy themselves. Please help us by playing music at a level you can enjoy but will not disturb your neighbours. Quiet time is between 10.30pm and 8am and during these hours we ask for no unavoidable noise. Please let us know immediately should there any disturbances, issues can be quickly resolved at the time but impossible the next day.
Along one side of the park we are separated from our neighbours by a dry stone wall. These can be delicate so for your own safety and our sanity, please refrain from removing stones or climbing on or over them.
We are stockists for Calor and Campingaz and hold most bottle sizes in our secure compound on site.
For those camping without electric, we are more than happy to charge your mobile phone for you, just pass it to us at reception along with your charger.
You are very welcome to borrow our maps of the surrounding area during your stay, just ask at reception before heading out to explore.
