01.jpg

Street Head Caravan Park is the ideal location for exploring everything the Yorkshire Dales National Park has to offer.

On our Doorstep

The Street Head Inn

The conveniently located ‘pub next door’ is a warm and inviting establishment, much enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

Serving real ales from local breweries, guest beers, wines from around the world and an extensive selection of spirits, it’s a great place to relax while getting warm beside the real open fire. Quality food is served lunchtimes (excluding Monday and Tuesday) and every evening.

Booking is advised especially for their exceptional Sunday carvery. 01969 663282.

West Burton

Considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a large village green and no through road.

West Burton has much to offer visitors including a lively pub (with Sky Sports), children’s play area on the village green, a traditional family butchers shop, cat pottery and the much photographed and admired Caulden Falls waterfall.

Thoralby

Just a short stroll away, Thoralby is a typical dales farming community, with a traditional pub, small shop and post office. Here you will also find our nearest bus stop.

Aysgarth

A very popular village and rightly so, the spectacular waterfalls draw visitors from around the world, they also featured in the hit film Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. In relatively easy walking distance from the campsite, just borrow a map from reception to choose your route or follow the footpath markers. There is parking for cars and longer vehicles at both sides of the river.

Visit the National Park Centre for more in depth information about the area, the staff are brilliant here and very helpful. If you are visiting with children ask for a trail sheet to complete during your stroll around the waterfalls and ancient woods. Aysgarth has 2 pubs, 4 cafes, an Edwardian Rock Garden and a fuel station with garage, general store and off licence.
